Using the expertise of Rita Givens, our founder,  and the book: CLICKING WITH YOUR DOG by Peggy Tillman, Payson Wonder Dogs meets twice monthly in the Payson Public Library conference room. For nearly twenty years our focus is to prepare dogs for the Canine Good Citizen tests (CGC and CGCA) as conducted by Certified AKC Evaluators. Longer term, we practice numerous ADA Service Dog, Personal and Professional Therapy dog, Home Help dog, and Home Companion dog skills.

 

Although we have skilled training directors, the designation "PEER ASSISTED" denotes that we are NOT professional dog trainers per se, rather we work together to teach useful and desirable skills to handlers and their dogs using positive reinforcement and the clicker training method.
